Little Girl Blue

Acrylic / Mixed Media, 8 x 8
2006

Little girl blue, what is there to do? You ask for the sun but are delivered the moon. When you dream day and night of tulips and marigolds, it’s only blue bells that your garden grows. So is it not best to just confess and dress the day in blue? Count the shades of teal and grey, release your arms enough to say… I’ll stay right here and chances are that through the blue, I’ll see a star.
